Well it looks like the storm that rolled through on friday had the pike in a bit if a lazy mood. We started the day with a fish in the first 10 minutes, then had one of those Coeurdalene Lake sea monsters follow me to the boat. Apparently she was only letting me know she was there and not hungry. We moved on to the next spot and promptly put fish number 2 in the boat, a nice healthy 6 pounder. This fish has thre distinct lumps in it's belly. Was defenitely putting on the feed bag. No more takers there3 so off we went to location #3 where I got a scrappy little 24"er. Net next couple of spots produced nothing so we headed to the chains. We scratched pout a total of 5 pike and 2 bass on the day. Caught them on spoons, spinnerbaits, and frogs in about 6 feet of water. water temps went from 54 in the main lake in the am to 68 in the chains late in the day.

Nice report! So, I take it you're in the witness protection program? Just kidding. Nice Pike!

Ya, it's not the most flattering look but after having a chunk of my ear removed due to skin cancer, I have moved to some of the UV protective gear. The buff is actually fairly comfortable and I can take it off whenever I want. It also keeps me from having to re apply sunscreen after a few hours of fishing. I hate getting the suntan lotion on my rod handles. The buff actually does a great job of keeping my hat from blowing off whe the boat is running from spot to spot. Dual purpose I guess.
