Took my 3YO to lake boren today for only our 2bd ever fishing day! With a little one this is easily the safest place to go because the rails on the pier are so high my son couldn't possibly fall in the water.
To the fishing point, after reading old reports (includsing my own) I've come to realize that there's not just one old two poler guy. I've been to Lake Boren 3 times this past month and I've seen at LEAST 3different ppl using 2 poles (one of the guy used 3, lol..

Had our lines in the water at 930. On his Spider-Man fishing pole we were using an egg sinker with a 6"leader and on the hook wait rainbow powerbait trout dough that I dipped in powerbait garlic trout dip.
On my reverb spinning combo I had a egg sinker with about 20"leader with 2 garlic scent power eggs dipped in garlic trout dip.
We were there for 2 hours with not a bite.
One of the 2 polers caught a stocker rainbow about 8".
Couple other guys who came were getting a lot of bites but the only thing they reeled in was the same perch, twice! Lol.
So in 2 hours I saw one trout and one perch.. Pretty slow day.
But the guys were saying that yesterday one of the guys got a 17"rainbow! Wish I was there for that haha.

Anywho, as this is so far the only lake around with such a high rail on the dock, I will be back again with my son and will have another report when I go again if you guys are interested. Thanks for reading

Thanks for the report. Now that using two rods is legal (if a fisher buys the 2-pole license), then some of those 2-poler guys on the dock may be legit. Of course, the guy who is now using 3 poles, is probably the same guy who was using 2-poles when it was illegal to use 2-poles. I've seen wardens come to that dock pretty regularly. One of them even told me that he lives nearby and stops at the dock for a look on his way home from work.

Yeah I jusr noticed that it's no longer just a one pole lake, of course I noticed after this article ??. I've only been there a few times and haven't seen a warden yet but it is what it is haha.
