Me and two friends hit the lake about 5:30 and began trolling with herring, brads cut plug, hootchies, eggs, dick nites, and even wedding rings (hoping for a trout if nothing else). Not one bite all day long. There were about 6-8 other boats and the only thing that anyone was caught were two very small trout that were thrown back, one by a couple guys trolling for trout (they did not even know Chinook were in the lake) and the other by the guide boat.
I think we were a couple weeks late for a good chance at catching springers.

I got some intel from a local when we returned to the boat launch, here was his breakdown:
He stopped fishing about 3 weeks ago since the bite really slowed down (3-4 hours for a fish) and that the reservoir had been drawn down a few times over the winter flushing all the trout down to Riffe, they had not yet planted with trout. He thought they were probably going to draw down the lake again to work on the fish passage at the dam. He also stated that Riffe was very low and the silvers had not migrated up the lake like normal, most likely due to the low water (possibly related to the draw down that may be coming) leading to poor fishing there as well.
