This will be a 2 day report.. 5/5 Arrived at around noon to the dock Started tossing different crappie jigs on one rod the other straight nightcrawler both under floats.. Managed a few small pumpkinseeds on the worms but no consistent action. Decided to try for some trout so rigged up some 3 ft leaders n green powereggs. Almost instantly landed a planter trout then nothing rest of the afternoon but a few missed bites. Left around 3 to try a different lake. 5/6 Met up with a friend in town decided to bring the boat down give the Crapzuki a run.. Launched about 1 ran all up and down the north and west shorelines fishing most every pocket of pads or brush we could access. Once agian the nightcrawler under a float kept getting bit while crappie jigs stay untouched. Now i remember why i dont like soft plastics.. Switched my rod over to a worm. We kept catching small pumpkinseed and perch so moved to one last spot about 6 and tossed in nightcrawlers and promply hooked one of the biggest bluegill ive ever caught. then another then hooked and lost a small catfish at the boat "DOH!" then friend hooks a massive crappie almost 11 inches.. We left about 7. 2 full days in a row of sun really drains ya.
