Arrived at the Panther Lake about 0930. I caught and released 10 trout in about five hours. Most were 10"-12", two were in the 14" range. I used exclusively a purple Mack's Smiley Blade fly. I had the best luck trolling along the West side of the lake. I did have one that struck so hard it almost pulled the rod out of my hands, didn't hook him though.

There were as many as five Bald Eagles (two mated pairs and one with a juvenile) flying around the lake. At one point I got to see one of the parent eagles catch a fish about 100 feet from me. It flew for a little bit and then dropped it to try to teach the juvenile to catch fish. It may have been one of the coolest things I've ever seen!

Great day on the lake!!
