This was a kids fish endeavor so we needed to make sure we got
something on the ends of their lines.

We fished in 25 to 30 feet of water located on what the Marina guys at
Derry's "the mountain side" there are two submerged logs each which
enter the water I would say across from the the state park. The fish were suspended in 13 to 20 feet of water. Actually the finder was showing fish down to 30 feet, but we got all of our fish in suspended water. Used orange power bait with marshmallows. Our kids caught most of the fish - which was the most important.

Every morning I would get my field glasses and watch the same guy go to his same hole, which was on south end, there is a primitive beach out there and he was fishing maybe 50 to 60 yards out from there, and about 40 feet from shore. If you have a finder I would say use it.
Fortunately, I wasn't picking up leaves and turtles on the finder, most were fish.
