Work has kept me busy so this is my first report since last year, also only my second trip out this season. Hit the lake at daybreak and started with a Strike King Rage Blade, and Strike King Denny Brauer jig with Gamble lures ugly otter trailer. Not even a nibble for 2 1/2 hours. The cutthroat meanwhile were going nuts all around me so I trolled around to get couple catches in. After a couple 14 in. or so cutties something a bit bigger hit my small rapala, it was a roughly 1 1/2 lbs bass......at that point I put down my trout rod and got back to work on the bass. Caught a few more in the next hour with the lady in the pics as the biggest, camera died after so no pics of the other bass. Also, no scale on me so not sure of weight. All bass came on the jig hopped and dragged very slowly, they didn't want any faster presentations outside of the one when trolling for trout. Had to leave soon after, but was a great day all around.

This girl was caught about half way between the boat launch and the lily pad field in the south end of the lake. What ya been using? I have my best luck there on a 3/8 to 1/2 black blue jig with a strike king rage craw trailer. Chatterbaits are a good lure there too

mainly 3/8 jigs, watermelon colored with various trailers, or a black/blue with various trailers with several misses, my go to has been a mini rap, pumpkin seed colored that has been landing the juveniles. gonna head back again this weekend, scouted it out yesterday and saw that
water level has dropped significantly. hopefully thatll get the bite going
