After getting a couple of good reports CF and I headed to the North end. CF had his lines in water by 6:30 and had 2 fish before I got my lines in. The bite was very good with 11 eyes and a 14 inch crappie to the boat in the first hour. The bite nearly died after 9:00 for us. We found fish between 7-10 FOW trolling 0.9 MPH. Gear: bottom walkers with green/chartreuse beaded spinners with silver smile blades. We had a nice pair of nesting bald eagles watching over us. Tried a favorite honey hole on the way back to the launch with no luck. 5 hours of fishing yielded 24. Walleyes, 10 catfish and the single crappie. Most of the eyes were 16-18 inches with 3 over 20". All fish C&R. Water temp 58 north and 54 mid lake. Fishing should only get better as the spawn finishes.
