This sunday was the first trip for a little boat project i have been working on a couple week so it was mostly a test run. We hit the water at about 4:00pm and i rigged up a very basic trolling rig silver dodger with about 2ft leader to a pink wedding ring tipped with a honey worm for my girlfriend and I ran silver dodger with a green wedding ring and power bait. It was supposed to be more of a boat test day and exploring the lake so i put my minn kota on number 2 which put me at roughly 1.5 mph i just guessed on how much line i let out . After about 15 min of making our way up the lake my girlfriends pole got a hit and we pulled the fish up next to the boat and it spit the hook so we checked bait dropped it back down and about 5 min later hit another one on her pole and i was able to get a net on this little rainbow much to small to keep but it was my girlfriends first fish so she was pumped . We let the little guy go and fished about another hour got 2 more hits on her pole and mine never got a nibble on mine.
