Well, I finally caught a couple fish at Meridian. I fished 8:30 to 11:30 and both catches happened in the last hour. Both were caught on the same pole with the same pink Dick Nite behind a 4" dodger, 3/8 oz trolled 60 pulls behind. Both fish were native trout between 10 an 11" and not very appealing so I released them. I was hoping to hook some of the recent plants or maybe a kokanee. The 10" is pictured. Looks pretty beat up.

Pretty slow fishing for most of the day. Saw only one fish jump. Weather and wind conditions were ideal. Water temp was 46 - 47 degrees. I shared the lake with 2 other boats. Nice day on the lake so I'm giving it a 3.

Thanks for the report!! Not saying dick nites don't work, but this time of year, spinners such a as mini wedding rings tipped with white shoepeg corn is what those kokes will hit. That's from personal experience and trial n error. Tipping a wedding ring with night crawler will absolutely hammer those trout if you are targeting those. I'll be out there tomorrow afternoon to give it a try. Hopefully I'll run into ya soon! Thanks again

Those fish you caught were planters. WDFW heavily stocks that lake with Rainbow Trout.

Hey thanks, guys! DjButler, I did have a wedding ring on the down rigger, but it was tipped with Gulp white maggots. I'll try the corn and night crawler ideas next time.

Hey, cobrar543, thanks.

Hey, losaturn, isn't WDFW clipping their dorsal fins anymore? These fish were unclipped. Thanks in advance.

The only clipped fish were the surplus hatchery steelhead that they put into some of the lakes.
