The kokanee were running about 45 ft to 60 ft deep. I got no takers there. The perch were in massive schools at the section of the lake I was fishing. I managed 2 17+ inch rainbows and 3 12 to 13 inch rainbows in about 3 hours. The water temp was between 47 and 49 degrees depending on location. There were some really big rainbows rolling and sipping the hatch that came off last night. No need to stock the lake this year, the fish are loaded in there and quite big. I love March in American lake, no stockers, just big holdovers if you can get the magic combination of bait. Ran into one other angler who got 3 rainbows and one kokanee guy who got zero.
