My first time launching my boat at Angle Lake and what a fine day. Great weather, low winds, water like glass, and lots of action! I started fishing around 8:30 fishing two poles. Pole One was a green spotted Dick Nite spoon behind a Dick Nite multicolored dodger, 3/8 oz weighted and about 80 feet behind the boat. Pole Two had a Wedding Ring tipped with worm behind a Lite Troll and about 15 ft down on the down rigger and 40 feet behind the boat.
All total after 4 hours of fishing, I caught and released 4 fish similar to the one in the photo as well as 8 hookups I could not land. Out of the 12 total hookups, only 3 came on the Wedding Ring. The Dick Nite setup was killing it all morning! I had scented it with Garlic by the way.
All these fish were skinny 10" -12" and probably part of the State Fishery dump of skinny Steelhead that fishingbear mentioned in his report last Saturday.
One cool thing about this lake is the resident Bald Eagle who is happy to swoop down and get any fish that are belly up. Tight lines!
