well, Lake Sammamish has certainly been a good place to fish.

out of fishing the lake the entire winter, i would rate this lake a 4. i have caught many a fish this winter in the lake, and it has been a blast!

fishing has been great at this lake, and this report will hopefully highlight that.

this post will include stuff from my Sammamish Tackle Box.

the last time i went out, i only got to stay for an hour or so before the wind picked up. Towards the end of January through about March fishing for Cuts gets slower. during this time, i found that Smile Blades in front of a Wedding Ring trigger the bite even better. also, walleye lures work well too. Wally-Pops, slow death rigs, all of that stuff will trigger the bite. the magic, however, is the smile blade. in the last couple of trips, 9 fish have come from a lure with some sort of a smile blade. normal medal spinners DO WORK still. i have still caught a fair amount of fish this winter on medal spinners. Besides wedding rings and smile blades, lures with some flash seem to be working quite well also. Cripplures and Humdingers from Shasta Tackle have worked well. spoons such as the needlefish, and the Mack's Imperial Spoon are great baits as well.

One thing to look out for when using your lures is the action. Nightcrawlers are a hit when fishing lake Sammamish. I use nightcrawlers on every trip i take. However, nightcrawlers wreck the action of most lures. so, besides the Wedding Ring and other spinners (or smile blade lures) nightcrawlers will stop the Lure's action. for my Shasta Tackle products, spoons, and other lures, i use Pro-Cure trophy Trout Super Gel. this is a great scent and it works well. all pro-cure scents work well in the lake, however many of the scents also attract the Kokanee (illegal to keep in Sammamish). i usually refrain from using Krill, which seems to attract them the most. try different scents! mix and match! bottom line, a little smell is a great thing.

as for attractors, i use dodgers for the most part. Dick Nite dodgers, sling blades, and other 4/0 dodgers are fantastic. when i use sling blades, i put a bend in them to impart even more action. it works stunningly. other than dodgers, ford fenders work great. i am going to try Mack's Flash-lite as well. they should work swell.

Lake Sammamish offers great fishing for people of all ages. from toddler to pro angler, Sammamish has the variety of fish for you.

well after this report, i have a question for the NWFR community:

this summer, I will be a Freshman in College. Lake Sammamish is a fantastic lake to fish. from first time anglers (and children), fisherman looking to find a new type of fishing. to the experienced boat-less fisherman, Lake sammamish has the variety of fishing for you.

so, my question for the NWFR community is would a service like this be of interest? is it feasible?

TIGHT LINES AND GOOD FISHING

You should try Jet Divers they work best with Fresh water tolling without the hard pulling like deep six does. When I fish Lake Samammish and Washington I used my Jet drivers more than my downrigger's.........
