Late report, this is for last year about late September to the end of October. Crappie fishing was on fire. Catching 30 to 40 fish per day and keeping a limit of10. Lots of 12 and 13 inch fish. Biggest was a 2 pound 15 inch. Caught over 400 crappie between August and November.

That's really encouraging! I don't know of any places like that over here on the west side. If you can and want to edit in a 'Hotspot' that'd be great but also just a general area would sure be appreciated. I try to get out there 3-4 times a year and the focus has mainly been on walleye in Potholes, but a crappie target in Moses Lake would sure be nice.

I fish several places, the I 90 bridge by blue Herron park is a good start point

Nice fish. I was over there a couple time this year and saw one guy fishing for crappie. We need to stay in contact so when I move there fishing for perch and walleye we should get out together

Hey David A , the state record black crappie was caught in lake Washington. I'm planning a trip this April

Used to fish for crappie years ago before St Helens blew in the North end of the lake by airmans beach using float and jigs about 2-3' deep. Just started fishing Moses for perch last couple year around the bridge and the point to the North of it. Have not seen or heard of crappie being caught. Is it because they are still top feeders and perch and walleye are on the bottom? Would love to get into the crappie again. How have you been rigging for them?

Most of the time we're using jigs on the bottom then slowly real up. Floats work well in the spring

Any tips or specifics?

I use jigs and small spinners, slow trolling and vertical jig. I make the spinners using a #8 hook a few beads and a #4 Colorado blade.
