I had a nice lovely day on the lake today. No Cutts but caught four salmon. Water temperature was 47 degrees.

Launched from Magnuson at 10:45am and ran to Hunts Point. First fish of the day was a 20" Chinook! Absolutely crushed the bait on the take down. So fun! That will never get old... Chinook on Kokanee gear? My oh my!

The second and third fish were caught out in open water by the new 520 span. One Coho and one Kokanee. I also missed a few drive by's in the open water which seemed trout like.

The final fish of the day was another Coho along the Windermere shoreline.

All fish where clipped other than the Kokanee.

Small dodgers and hoochies tipped with Pautzke corn, Berkley Gulp maggots and a bit of Pro Cure Bloody Tuna yield the catch. The Chinook was caught with 20' of wire out in 40' feet of water and the Coho's and Kokanee where caught with 15' wire out in 200' of water.

Hey tyee4me. To answer your question about Coho retention. As the WDFW Rule stands, there is a small window when Coho retention is allow. Check the manual for full details but as it is written, Coho retention is allowed Sept.16th - Oct 31st, north of 520 and east of the Montlake Bridge only. 12" min with a daily bag limit of 4. All fished released yesterday.
