After getting skunked yesterday I thought if I got there earlier I could do better. I did. 3 bites and 1 fish compared to 0-0 yesterday.
I started fishing about 7:15 am and had 2 bites at 15 foot on the wire and at 30 feet within a couple of minutes from each other on the south side of the lake. I circled around trying to get more but nothing. I went toward the north side of the lake and just before 8am got a hit. 14 inch male kokanee in the boat without a net. It was still in the front of the boat. I was using the 50/50 by Dick Nite Spoons with a Wannafish A Lure Red Still fishing spinner. The hook was firmly placed in the jaw.
That was it. Nothing more the next 2 hours. I left about 10. The water level is still lower than usual and the temp is 65.
