My partner and I fished potholes Tuesday beginning at approximately 9:00. Launching was a challenge because of the low water condition. We found the DF&W launch site un useable for my 16' boat. Instead launched at Mardon resort.
We fished the area north of Goose Island in water from 8 to 16 feet. Using bottom bouncers and Walleye Elite spinners in a perch like color with night crawlers. It was a mid-80's day with light wind and surface water temp in the mid 70's. We caught a couple 11" perch and one 17" walleye and a brown catfish.
We quit about 1:30.

Pretty slow day, but still it's FISHING. I'm sure things will improve as the weather cools.

That stinks the fishing was slow for you. We were on the Potholes on Saturday fishing the crab creek area. The fish were biting all day although most were smalleyes and bullhead catfish, we did bring home 7 nice walleye and a 3.5 lb. trout. Cream cicle orange and white colors were the best for us trolling in 9-25' of water. Hope you do better next time.

I launched at the State Park. The gate will be closed but it is not locked. You just open the gate and then close it. I called the State Park and they said it was ok to do so. The launch fee is $7 (self pay station), the same price as Mar Don. I launched my boat at 04:30 am, then went to Mar Don and fished off the dock for an hour for Crappie, Not a single bite, then went off to catch walleye in crab creek area.
