8/12/2015 2:11:00 PMI fished Banks twice this year. I like trolling along the weed edges, in fifteen to twenty feet of water, flat-lining crankbaits that look like perch, either natural or firetiger colors. Pick a shallower diver for the one closest to the weed edge (I use a shallow shad-rap); a medium diver straight behind the boat (a minnow Rap from Rapala in Hot Steel color); and, a deep-diver on the outside edge (a wiggle wart in brass/green or a deep-diving broken-back perch). After passing along the weededge, you will probably be reeling in a fish or two, so pull the other line and make a quick turn and reset the lures, keeping the shallow diver on the shore side. Keep the boat in about eighteen feet of water.
If the wind is blowing into a shoreline, troll parallel to that shoreline in the twenty foot depth. You can also anchor the boat in that same twenty foot depth and cast the crankbaits for the walleye if you find concentrations of them.
