My wife,brother-law Doug and I spent 3 days camping and fishing at Baker lake this week camping out of Horseshoe Cove campground. We launched and ran up the lake and started fishing about 6:15 each morning and fished till about 1:30 in the afternoon. Our fish were all caught between 50-60 feet and trolling speed was 1-1.2 mph and for gear we used light and dark pink hoochies with the smaller size 1 1/2 inch working the best with both chrome and 50/50 dodgers and coon shrimp with pro cure krill and anise oil for scent. We marked alot of fish down at 100-120 feet of water but none willing to bite, all of our fish were taken in 160 feet of water with downriggers set at 55 feet. We ended the 2 days of fishing with 7 sockeye in the boat with at least 8 more that got off or lost at the net. We really enjoy this fishery and the camping and scenery is hard to beat, look forward to going back again.
