Well the kid got off work early and wanted to go fishing. So we headed to Alder for one last try and it was a bust! We caught two little perch and one 11" cutt that came home with us as it was hooked in the eye and no chance it would make it. We fished from 3:30 to 7:30 pm one other fishing on the lake and they had no luck at all. we were marking a ton and they were jumping all over the lake. All the fish came today on the orange and gold from Toni's Wanna fish a lure tipped with corn and garlic bloody tuna scent. My son well skunked again nothing wanted to touch his line today.

The launch is well.....no good. If you go and have a very small or hand load boat you good. We had to stay to the right side and then put the trailer in off the side of the launch to retrieve, I backed straight down to launch and hit bottom with the boat but no biggie lite push and she was off and floating. This will be our last trip until the water comes up maybe the rain this weekend will help some. FYI the level was 1182 FT today to give you an idea of depth and usability of the launch.

Tight lines.

Thanks for the update on the w,ater level. Looks like I'll be hitting 'Murican lake on Friday instead. Sorry your son got no love from the fish. When the water is low there it is tough fishing, literally hundreds of fish on the finder but no takers.

Sheepdog, the main lake is very deep still so I can't see a reason for lock jaw. If someone with a small boat or raft could do well out there but I think it was just the change in weather and dropping air pressure and bad luck that kept us out of the kokes. I think it might be time for us to give American a try again and see what it gives us might see you out there. I know one thing next year Alder should be good and I will sure hit it a lot earlier then we did this year.
