Okay this is a 3 day report form June 21-23. Went to Banks lake with some friends. Planned to fish hard, tube and get the guys up on water skis when it got hot out. Arrived Sunday around noon and set up camp.
We put the boat in and ran around to popular bay. we ran bottom bouncers with various spinners but most had slow death hooks. We also used some Mack lures spin drift setups. All colors worked but the gold smile blade with black and gold beads was the best. Troll speed was 1.4 mph staying in 21-24 fow. We had great action in the middle of the afternoon. After dinner we headed west to Barker flats. This was the best spot all 3 days. 6 guys in the boat with one my son running the trolling motor keeping us on fish. In less than 3 hours we caught over 100 walleye. Only problem was they were not legal. Monday evening was the same except it was windy and a little rough. But we still caught walleye and the biggest of the trip at 21 inches. Congrats to Ben for catching it on his first walleye trip. His sons Cam and Clark also caught their first.
What a way to start out summer break for the guys. Oh and yes we did get my guys up on water skis for the first time. Tried a little last year pulling off the transom but they just couldn't get the hang of it so I had a tower built by Who Dat towers. The tower was huge help and worked great for storing all the fishing rods too.

Sorry no pics of fish. Too busy catching
Total count over 200 walleye
With 5 being keeper
Also caught bunch of perch

Any one that fishes Banks after July 1 will go home with a bunch of tasty walleye as I hear the legal size will drop to 12 inches with a limit of 8. Please do our resourse a favor and help thin out the over population of walleye at Banks

All the small fish may be the result of the population recovery after the big draw down 3 years ago.

Mosquitos were in the campground and near the lake shore but not all that bad. None out on the water even in the evening.

Heading over to Banks tomorrow for a family reunion & some hydrotherapy. Unfortunately leaving on 7/1, so only one morning of the new size limit. Need to try to get all the grand kids interesting in fishing, and the best way to do that is catching! Were did you find the perch?

All the perch were caught trolling spinners for walleye. Only place we did not get any perch was the far north end of the lake by the inlet. Water was 65 degrees there and about 70 at steamboat. We did not target perch but other times have. The punch bowl has been good in the past just outside the weed line guessing 18 fow.

Thanks. We've been hitting walleye consistently for 2 days along the wall at the inlet, most in the 14" to 15-1/2" range. One 22" tonight. Size drops & limit increases in the AM....so one last hurrah before heading over to Chelan.
