So with the passing of my mother in law yesterday in Wenatchee, came back to town to take care of some work and other things before heading back over on Thursday for the memorial, I decided to take a much needed break on the water today. Was toying with the idea of hitting Meridian but wanted to try out my new Abe and Als flasher that I designed with my own flashy tape so chose to hit the big lake today instead.

Launched at Atlantic City at 7 am and was the 1st trailer in the lot~ oh yea, today was Tuesday! Motored right over the beige house and started my troll north and taking a page from Fish Dawgs success with me, got the boat in 117 feet of water and down to 33 feet where I was marking fish. On the business end was a home made hootchie spinner tipped with scented fire corn and it wasn't long before I had a nice take down that pulled the clip! Fish on!!

The fish began playing tug of war with me but soon I was winning the battle when suddenly I felt slack on the line~ oh no! Yep, somehow my line broke at the flasher and was left with just a trailing empty line! Darn! I hate losing fish and I really hate losing gear!!

OH well, went back to work with a bunch of different combinations and ended up with 2 kokanees with one on a brads cut plug and the other on a fishing with Gary combo watermelon spinner. Now I have noticed some parasites on a couple of the kokanees I have caught and was wondering if anyone know what they were. I used to see these a lot on trout I used to catch on Deer lake on Whidbey island but hadn't seen too many on fish here so was wondering why all of a sudden they are showing up on the kokes. Haven't seen any on the cutts yet~

Anyhow, felt good just to get out on the water putting things into perspective and realize how precious life is and how blessed we are to live a place like this!! Take care and see you on the water!
