Had a nice day on the water despite strong winds which brought us in early and kept us from eastern end of lake. Weather report was for calm winds becoming 5 to 9 m.p.h. Ha! We went out early to take advantage of that and got burned, but managed to tough it out in the other end of the lake. I caught my personal best for cutthroat trout at this lake today with a 16 and 5/8 inch fish. The native cuts don't get much bigger then 13 or 14 inches so this would have taken 1st place in last 3 or 4 derbys at this lake, but no derby this year.
We saw danutdlp at the lake camping with family, he and a friend had a couple of dollies.Good to run into another member on this lake. Melanie caught a couple of nice dollies as well, prob. 3 to 4 lbs.We didn't attempt fishing at the eastern end , with 2 to 3 ft. waves and chop coming in from all sides we headed to safer waters, always err on the side of caution when playing on the water. It can be quite unforgiving, no fish is worth drowning for. Bob R

No buc, your job is to read the terms of use and not harrass/stalk members. Goodbye.

i was ten years old, when i lived at quinalt, on the lake. first, nest to the lodge, later, acroos the lake. dad used take me trolling all the time. ford fenders and nightcrawlers. guess what we use to get? sockeye. and, we kept them. lol. lot of them. and dollies. and cutts. largest sculpin i ever seen. over a foot long. this was back in 66-67. havent fished the lake since. sound like you had a nice time. i remember how some days we could not fish, for the winds. how deep were you fishing? using riggers? we never did. i dont think we used much weight at all. but thats been 48 years ago. time flys.
