Did the annual opening day trip to Park today with my Son,and cousin.Launched about 8am off the water by noon. Our method was using jerkbaits.Daiwa Dr minnows,Cultiva Rip n minnows, and Mira shads in various patterns about 25 ft down on downrigger,or 3-4 colors of leadcore seemed to be the trick. The fish were sure sized much better than last year, but no german browns this time around. We took 3 limits of rainbows from 15-19 inches

Hey great to hear that! Figured they would be a bit bigger due to the early hatch and mild winter~ can't wait to get over there in a couple weeks to ply the waters~ Thanks for the report and maybe the browns will have a chance to bite once the rainbows get thinned out a bit lol!!

You're killin' me!

Was planning to be there too but came down with nasty flu on Thursday and was down all weekend. Just now beginning to feel like part of the human race again. Glad to hear you lit up some nice ones. Try something in a crawfish pattern trolled around the small island at the far end of the lake or along the rocky shoreline by the launch. The browns seem to really dig the crawdaddys.

Thanks for the report!
