Went out on a windy Good Friday to try and get my first Largemouth Bass of 2015.
Heard and saw some great LMB action on Sprague last year so was excited to try
it myself. Took us a while to find some fish but when we did they were biting.

Fish were hanging out on the drop offs in about 10-15ft of water and chasing
baitfish. Had to get my DT12 out in Sexy Shad color and boom nailed this one
in the picture. Only 17.5 inches but weight 4lbs 14ozs. Had a HUGE belly!!

Had two more on but lost them both at the boat. Really nice fish both solid
over 3-4lbs. We had some trolling motor difficulty and had to leave after only
4 hours on the water. Too windy and not enough power in the trolling motor.

Water temps started about 49 and got up to 51 by noon.

Tight lines!

Hi! Great fish. Have you heard or seen any crappie or catfish? Thanks!

We only saw people trolling for Trout while we were out there. I am not sure there is Crappie in Sprague, I know there is bluegill. Sorry I don't know more.

Very nice fish! I love that lake - Fished it several times and camped there a few nights. Fished late into the night one time with my son and the action was great. Probably won't fish it again - Too old to make the long trip. Good luck!
