The Kokanee bite continues to be red hot in Chelan, and the fish keep getting bigger! Saturday I had the Groendyk family in the boat. We worked over the upper basin for a few hours and put 26 FAT Kokanee in the boat in the 15-17" range. First fish of the day turned out to a 4 pound Chinook. The bite remained hot throughout the morning but mother nature sent us packing after a downlake wind made it impossible to fish.

Sunday me and buddy hit the lake to do some prospecting further up the basin. We found the fish, and they were big! we put one fish in the boat under 16 inches. With only three hours to fish we ended up with 19 as the last fish proved to be tricky.

Dodgers, squids, and flies continue to produce with Orange and Pink working the best. Fish are being caught from 80-200 feet down and speeds between 1.0-1.5 are working. In other words, put gear down with good scent and bait and troll around. No real pattern out there right now.

Amazingly this lake just keeps getting better! I have Thursday open this week then I am booked up until April 15th.
