Went fishing on American lake a few days this last week. Still fishing in about 45 foot of water using chum with an anchor out both ends of a 15 foot whaler has been very productive; although yesterday's front seemed to slow fishing a bit as it was harder to obtain limits. We have caught two really prized fish of over 20 inches. We are fishing the north end of the lake running slow finding fish anchoring and waiting for a bite off the bottom with 24 inches of leader on 4 lb. test with a light drag as you never know what is going to bite might be a 11 incher or a 22inch plus over 4 pounder. Remember to bring a tape as it is only 2 over 14 and you will want to be selective we have had to quit fishing because we caught our 4 over and still fishing is not real conducive IMHO to catch and live release... we fished 3,4,5, 8,and the 9th with limits every day will learn how to post pics soon

I think we saw you guys yesterday. We caught one trolling a wiggle hoochie. I got to work on a better anchor system for my boat.

Very nice. I've never chummed before. Do you mind me asking what you would use to chum and how much you would consider being a suitable amount during a time frame. Thanks and good fishing
