It's been a while since I targeted trout so with the Mar 1 opener fresh out of the gate I was chomping at the bit to hit an E WA lake for fresh trout. Launched my little car topper from the shore of Quincy Lake and trolled through some likely spots. Wasn't even having a bite on my wooley buggar so switched to a dick nite for the troll. Most people here seemed to be still fishing, that's fine, I like to troll. trolled along the north shore and started picking up some bites. Circled back through and started picking up some fish. Ended up with 2 carry overs and 3 yearlings. Headed back to shore and cooked a few up and camped right there for the night. It was frigin cold that night! LOL Seemed like I really had to work for my fish here.
