Took a friend out that's a cancer survivor to show him the trout on Sprague Lake. Started fishing around 8:00 am with rippin minnow and flies. The top water baits on leaded line produced immediately. only caught 3 steelhead and 5 rainbows with the biggest being 22" and weighing 3-1/2 lbs. Foggy early in the morning but the sun came out around 11:00 and the lake was like glass. This never happens on Sprague in the winter. Had to break some surface ice in one place and the rippen minnows were skating on top for 20 feet or so. Pulled the boat out at 2:00 and headed home. Thanks Tony for being here. Keep your lines tight and your hooks sharp.
Landshark out.

Landshark II Nice to see you were able to take your friend out to Sprague; always glad to hear cancer success stories! What size are the steelhead by now? This next week will freeze the lake up again I assume.

LANDSHARK II;
Wow! I'm suprised that it was still ice free. I'm assuming the date was Dec 23rd. I hope to get over next month to fish Roosevelt. Maybe Sprague will be open then. Who knows. Glad you had success and that the weather was good. Hope you continue having success in your fishing adventures.
