Although I am just the holder not the catcher, it was a trip of a lifetime. Bad weather day, windy and plenty of rain. Near the end, we encountered some pretty good waves. The little one I am holding, on the left, weighed 14#, the big one Ace is holding weighed in at 21#. It was definitely a trophy fish. Would have placed in any derby there.

The bite was very short, no more than 1 1/2 hours and in that time we had 5 fish. Two small rainbows and a kokanee. That was it for the whole day!

Fishing with a guide on Lake Pend Oreille in Idaho. We were on a 36 foot Uniflite. We fished with eleven poles out at a time. Three on downriggers and the rest from planer boards.

Might even go again sometime so I can catch a big one!

The smaller fish came off the downrigger and the bigger one off the Planer board. My guide was Kurt Artner of Pend Oreille Charters. Please go to his web site @ Pend Oreille Charters.com or call 208-610-8540. Great guide and beautiful boat! The black was an Apex.
