First off, I listed the target species as Largemouth Bass because I caught so many of them, even though I was actually targeting rainbows. Now that I have that cleared up, on to the report.

I got to Greenlake last night and had my lines in the water at about 5pm. As mentioned, I was targeting some of the rainbows that had been planted recently. I fished along the south west shore by the boat house until it was too dark to easily see anymore. Started the night with pink garlic power eggs on one line, and working lures with my other pole. At first I began with an 1/4oz gold Kastmaster. Kind of slow for the first half hour, but then saw a fish swirl near shore, cast to it a couple times, hooked it, and then found out it was a small Largemouth Bass. I eventually hooked another LMB with that same lure, and then switched to a 1/8oz silver and green Kastmaster. Hooked probably 5 or 6 more LMBs on that lure before switching to a size 2 pink Vibrax. Didn't get anything on that setup but didn't stick with it too long either. Then switched over to a gold tiger pattern Rooster Tail and got two more LMBs. Somewhere in here I changed my powerbait setup to to rainbow color with salmon egg scent, and also didn't cast it out quite as deep, as I had gotten no hits on the pink garlic power eggs. Around this time I switched to a brown woolly bugger fished with a bubble float and got 3 more LMBs. Somewhere near the end of the night I heard the bell on my bait pole go off and went over to inspect it. Sure enough, something was tapping it, but whatever it was never committed. I gave it a good hook set after another decent tap, but didn't have anything on the end of the line.

So, no trout for me, but it was fun catching all the bass, especially on the wide array of lures I was using. They definitely weren't huge, ranging from about 3" at the smallest to maybe 8 or 9" at the biggest. May have to try the lake in the morning rather than the evening.

Was that you at the theater area? I was on the pier area using a small rod with worms. I'm the Asian Guy with glasses just sitting there and waiting for bites. I remember seeing someone casting what seemed like top water lures. I got a lot of hits on the worms and am in the same situation, all bass no trout. I did see a school of them in the area, I think they were supposed released by the boat launch area. Keep reading these reports of people with success and can't help but wonder what I'm doing wrong. Oh well, that's fishin'

I wasn't at the theater area, but was close to it. Just a but further up (north) from there along the west side of the lake under the trees that are right by the water.
