I started still fishing on the south side of the lake, about mid way in 42 feet of water at 8am. The water temp was 62.5 degrees. The lake was smooth but the forecast was for wind and rain in the afternoon.
I deploy the chum and fish for 20 minutes before I get my first bite. At 8:30 I brought in my first fish. By 9am, I had 5. I had a little chum left so I threw it out and proceeded to catch and release a few not using any bait. I had been using maggots and red eggs but I ran out of maggots and just used eggs. When I was C & R I just stripped up 2 feet of line, fast, then let the Wannafish A Lure Still-fishing spinner be still. If I didn’t get a bite I did it again until I got a bite. Then I would jerk and the fight was on. I did this until 9:30 when I quit, going home to clean fish as well as my boat!
I got 3 males and 2 females. I added pictures to show that they get spots although in the pictures they are hard to see. I also added a picture of the meat...still bright.
