As we move through the pre-spawn here on Chelan, the Mackinaw fishing continues to be excellent. We are catching fish in the Barrens, the Trench, the State Park and the face of Manson Bay. Fishing about 1.2 mph has worked just fine. Keep your presentations within 3 to 5 feet of the bottom. Squid rigs fronted with a Mack's Lure Smile Blade and scented with Pautzke's Krill Juice has really generated the bites. As the water temps have cooled we have seen some nice rainbow trout in shallow water.
