Windy. Having eliminated Moses as our friend this day, we went where the wind should have been less of a problem. The wind out of the North still plagued, but it was fishable. caught 7 walleye, all right at a half inch too short, some nice perch, a 12" crappie, and a bunch of small smallmouth. My wife caught one smallmouth that went 13", but the rest were small. Caught 4 or 5 Largemouth, all in the toss back slot, which was okay. They fought well. Really tough fishing, and trolling worked best, followed by jig/plastic/worm combos.

At least you went to Soda, and stayed away from Potholes. And you didn't get a $352 ticket from a sheriff after 30 minutes of harassment for having the wrong mix of floatation devices in the boat.

Really enjoy reading your reports - specially in the seep lakes. Wondering if you fished any of them recently and any tips for a newbie? Considering Soda or Long lake for c&r walleyes and keeper panfish this week - good/bad idea?
