Hit the lake on a weekend! 1st mistake, hit it at the peak waiting time to launch and retrieve as well.(About an hour each way!) I was fishing as a guest with Rick and George on Ricks boat. They are both retired and hadn't experienced the weekend crowd before. So they were both a little grumpy by the time we got going. We joined the fleet at the west end of the lake on a rather beautiful windless morning.(Rick was blown off the water on Friday without even fishing) We stacked one side at 35/55 and ran the other at 45. We were marking fish at these depths but, couldn't trigger a bite for almost an hour. Rick put the first one in the boat from 55'. We dropped down as another boat shared with us that 80' was working. We picked up a couple at that depth and a couple shallower. We finished with 5 fish total. All came to size1 dodger and red hooks on a short 10-14'' leader. I had a commitment in Wenatchee at 2PM. We quit fishing at 11:30 AM. About 1/2 of the 200-250 boats had give up by then. We were exiting the state park by 13:15! I had already called my wife to tell here the launch was plugged up and going SLOW..... I'm in the dog house again! We headed out with our glasses half full but, returned with them half empty. I gave my 2 fish to George as I made a mad dash once we hit town. Still a good day on the water with a couple of good ol' boys.
Sorry no pics. this time.
