My two sons and I fished three mornings starting Wed July 30th. The first morning we went 4/4 on two doubles, both before I could even get all our gear in the water. The second morning we went 2/6, one broke our 25# fluoro leader. The last day we went out with our camp site neighbors and we went 6/6, with a triple. My kids reeled in nearly all the fish. Most fish were caught with pink wiggle hoochies tipped with pink fire cured shrimp and a few different scents. Fishing overall was pretty slow with the hottest bite in the early morning. Most we talked to had 0 to 1 fish. Once the sun came out, the fishing died and the heat was unbearable. Because of the heat, we ended the days at around noon, the last day we ended early at around 10am. We fished 5 rods, 4 on stacked downriggers at 35-50 feet, and 1 with a 3oz banana weight. All rods had fish. We had one chrome bright fish that looked fresh from the sound and the rest were getting a bit of color but all cut well with bright red meat.
