5/27/2014 8:50:00 PMWhen you say heavy jig do u mean a skirted jig that looks like half of a spinnerbait? If so do those require a trailer ? Sorry for the questions just trying to figure out this bass fishing.

5/28/2014 6:37:00 PMRyanmfknd- Yeah a skirted jig is what you described. I have fished this lake successfully with buzz baits, hollow body frogs, square bill cranksbaits and soft plastics. The Berkley Havoc pit boss in texas craw color with some craw scent being my go-to pretty much anywhere I fish for bass. You can see my post from May 25th of last year and the bass i caught on the pit boss at Bass lake. Texas rig it and cast it within a few feet of shoreline and work it out to about ten feet of water. If you see bass chasing your bait to the boat try the crankbaits. They might react to them better. I work on the outside edge of the lily pads ... It's pretty exciting when the hit.
