Hit the launch at about 5:30AM. No other boats in sight. It was a bit breezy with temperatures in the high 40s. Headed west from the boat launch and fished the docks heading toward the inlet with a deep diving rapala. Continued to work the inlet with only one bite from a smallmouth about the size of my lure! Finally hunkered down in the inlet out of the wind and work several docks with anything from rapalas, plastic worms and tube baits. I was about to give up when a 4lb lunker swallowed my purple tube bait making the whole morning worth the trip even though the fishing was extremely slow. It weighed 3lbs 14oz and was 20" long! Not bad considering this is the first Largemouth I've ever caught!
