Was on the water before 7am, steady wind on a cool Easter/Birthday morning, but clear skies and promise in the air.

1st of all I fished till about noon, mostly mid lake. I saw only 2 other boats all day.

Water is still very cold.

Wind let up for a couple of hour about 9am then picked back up before I left.

As for the fishing, Great day of early season bass fishing.

I was casting crankbaits, bass seem to not be real shallow, caught most with deep divers off thew banks a bit. Fishing was sort of slow, but all the fish were very nice. All about 15-16 inches, caught one about 13.5 inches. Total 8 landed, one got off. The bass were decent fighters, but you can tell they were sluggish. Used a slow retrieve.

Caught a bonus of 2 rainbows.

I did try for Walleye a bit, but I'm not really sure how to fish for them, so I got a goose ege and went back to bass.
