I went to North Cove Park and fished off the dock. I arrived around 4pm. The lake was smooth, with a light breeze. I noticed an algae bloom warning sign. The water was pretty clear from what I could see but I'm no algae expert. I set up at the very end of the dock. I used pink lemonade (neon pink/yellow) Powerbait turbo. Enjoyed the view for 2 hours but I didn't get one bite. I switched to orange cheese flavored glitter marshmallows for the last hour and again got no bites. The water was a bit too shallow for my liking but I will try this spot again this season.

algae bloom feeds the zooplankton which feeds kokanee but some that live around the lake pay for a company to shallows of the lake to keep the algae down. You might try sunset park on the east side south of the cove. Tight lines

Just a tip, worms and corn work much better because the fish in lake Stevens are stocked when they are fingerlings so they are used to eating natural baits and not hatchery bait imitators like powerbait, good luck and I hope you can catch more fish now
