Fished from about 2-6. Launched small boat and it was really shallow until halfway to the narrows, too shallow to use the trolling motor. fished around the narrows and a bit farther down. Was not marking fish. Eventually got bit on a dropshot with a black leech. One 20 inches the other was about 13. Water temp was 41. Nice weather, there were about 6 vehicles in the parking lot. No sign of ice. Has anyone been to sprague or amber lake?

Where do you get leeches?

They were soft plastics (black 3 inch Berkley Gulp). Some fly fishermen were having success with dark colored leech patterns fished deep on an indicator close to shore, so that suggested to me that something similar could get bit. I've had luck with small plastics in the past and less so with hardware. yesterday I did not get any hits on spinners or spoons, but since there were few bites that may not mean anything.

I talked to you at sprague right before I launched my boat. That was a nice fish. I didn't see anyone doing very well, fished until about 5. I landed one, and lost one at the net. No other bites, was super slow. One boat caught one trolling a wedding ring. I didn't get too far down the lake from the launch, but it was kind of disappointing. Water temp was 39-41 somewhat murky, vis was about 3 feet.
