Got up Early Saturday and my fishn bud with his Livingston picked me up in DesMoines Some areas foggy some not enroute got there as opened at 8 and very foggy on Lake launched ! (there was a guy really fancy ski boat with a water skier mid thirties and foggy!! We fished along the shore and kept shoreline in view had a compass reading if needed thought had caught bottom had down rigger out and finally reeled and what a mess cut line and pulled line in to save flasher etc aprox 30 40 feet line out after cutting line and there was a large bass no fight in it had been dragged around for sometime what a surprise was around the right point of the bouy and fishn deep ! That and one good take down and exagerated the setting hook and lost it NO BARBS on this lake!! COLD DAY!! if not dressed properly! with hand warmers!!! Got to check out a new prop cover !! Was nice to get out but it was foggy and cold (Winter fishing we decided needs to start around 1030 am and fish to aprox 2 !! Tight Lines & Fish on!!

Hi KIDKOKANEE - That's why we use tops and heaters here in eastern WA to winter fish; 9:00am lines in is soon enough. We have been waiting till 7 to leave Spokane for lake Roosevelt so we don't have to drive in the dark when it's foggy. All of that said winter fishing is awesome!
