This was the first time I had ever gone fly fishing. My friend who had been fly fishing his whole life had already caught 4 rainbows on a wooly bugger. Dusk hits and I kid you not there was one moment of silence, and then chaos trout started jumping out of the water every where sucking up bugs left and right. I was on a pontoon boat and every where I looked there was either ripples or fish jumping. Ive fished this lake countless times and it was the first time I had ever seen something like this happen. But anyway he caught two more trout on dry flies. I switched to the only dry fly I had because like I said before this was the first time I had ever fly fished. And bam I caught my first trout on a fly. It was amazing how different fly fishing is than normal fishing. Fly fishing takes much more fineness. even though I only caught one fish I still had a great time. I will never forget that scene when the sun went down over the trees, silence for 3 seconds, and then wham tons of activity. It was amazing.
