Fished 4th of July from about noon to dark yesterday. Couldn't manage but three fish. 2 fish that were under the 14" limit, and one the went 22" and weighed in at 4 pounds. Two friends and I threw everything from powerbait to spinners, but it seemed to just be a matter of getting it in front of the fish. Orange powerbait produced a few bites, but no hookups. Blue fox spinners seemed to be the way to go.

a 22" rainbow caught casting a spinner would make the day rate better than a 2 in in my book.nice work

Thanks for the report. Did you notice if the ice had progressed further southwards than the First Narrows? Were there any other people there? Had you heard anything about how Hog Canyon was this winter?

That really did make the day, but we FROZE. The wind chill made the air temp like 10 degrees. @juggalo
And no, the ice hasn't made it any further, as of yesterday. We were the only ones in the parking lot, so I assume we were the only ones there. And no, I have never fished Hog personally, so I have no idea. @dluders
