I've been pretty busy with work and friends, which is why I'm posting this report so late. End of September, my dad and I went to Park Lake, for the first time since 2004, and we unaware the lake had been killed off in 2006 to remove bass and perch, and from what I could see, that attempt to remove those species was a rather epic failure. I managed to land two hefty four-bound largemouth in very shallow water at the resort dock with a chartreuse power bait grub, and people were bringing in bucketloads of yellow perch. Me and my old man caught two nice rainbows on Hotshots out in the boat. So all in all it was a good trip. A lot of fond memories from my childhood at this lake.

Man i fished park all summer long for largemouth. Got nothing but dinks. I know theres some big largies in there. Blue and park lake are great smallmouth holes also. The word really got out this year on the smallmouth on Blue. Next spring is gonna be hot for bass fishing on both those lakes. Nice trout!

I love this lake and missed getting over there again before it closed. Will be back in the spring! Great job!

The bass were in very shallow water at the resort dock, right underneath the paddle boats. You could see 'em. They were a bit finicky, I had to keep changing lures each time I released one.
