Went out for an hour on my lunch. I was testing the Gulp! Nightcrawlers. First I cast out with real nightcrawlers and caught a perch right off. So I cast out a real crawler again and same thing. Then I put the Gulp! on and nothing. No nibble, no tasting, just nothing. I took that off the hook and put a real crawler on, and got a little 3 inch spotted bass. It seems that the fish at his particular lake do not like Gulp! The real nightcrawlers smell better anyway.

I've found the Gulp products in general are only useful if you don't have real bait available. Real worms, maggots or perch meat will always out fish the fake stuff.

I do great with Gulp but I use the Red Wigglers in red color, it's a little tapered worm and yes they do smell bad! Not near as bad as rotting worms in your cooler forgotten in the sun.....

I was fishing from one of the 3(?) fishing piers.
