I have been away from the kokanee front for 3 weeks and after a bust for pinks on Friday I had to get into some fish. I have to work today but I got to the lake about 6am and fishing about 6:15. Limit and done by 7:20am. It took me about 20 minutes to find them. Once I did I just stayed there catching fish. I think I lost just 3. Of course, I use Dick Nite dodgers pink splatter and chartreuse hothead with Wannafish A Lure agitator in pink and pink splatter. It was cloudy and I took the temperature to 47 feet deep and it was 48 degrees. Air temp was 56 degrees.
It was time for a deep fried panko kokanee lunch since I was always too tired after pink fishing to make it with the pinks.
