Had to go back to the dentist to finish up. I hope this fixes my issue. Entire lower jaw and both sides of my head was numb when I got on the water.
Anyways, so even a later start today. 1st cast a little after 3:30PM. Took me 10 mins to get my 1st snag. UGH. I'm almost out of tube jigheads and the tube I like.
I move over to where the timber field is on the west side of the lake. Lost a deep diving crankbait. Good thing it's a cheapy.
Spotted a ~13" SMB patrolling a weed point.
Caught me a bunch of perch. Tons of them follow your bait to the boat. Caught me a small squaw.
It's about 5:45 now, so I head to where I caught a couple SMB yesterday. Damn it, there's people swimming nearby, by I decided to fish it. Fished it for 30 mins. I felt the rapid nipping from perch most of the time. But on one of the cast, I felt the rapid nipping then I felt weight. I didn't really set the hook properly but fish on. I get it to the surface and see it's ~13" SMB. It turns and lure pops right off. I knew that was going to happen.
All I could muster today. The anesthetic the dentist used has worn off and the pain is back. Giving me a headache. Hopefully it does heal like I'm told in a couple of days.
