A brief separate report for this Alpine Lake. Hope lies at the end of a 1.5 mile hike up the Tunnel Creek Trail, which is quite forgettable. The lake itself is more like a pond. James and I arrived at noon and there were trout rising to take flies. So after a rest and lunch I tied on a float bulb for casting and a small royal coachman. This would produce consistent strikes from the 6-7" brookies. I suspect anything I tossed out that floated would work well. Heck, they even strike at the float bulb!

Is the same Brook trout, pictured in the Trap Lake and Hope Lake reports? The picture of the Brooky in the water at Hope, is so much more vibrant. Not to mention, looks so much larger......LOL! Was that the larger of the Brooky's caught?

Different fish both from Hope. My camera wasn't cooperating.
