New member, first post. Please forgive me if my post is not up to par.

Haven't fished this lake in many years. Got here about 1 pm only to find out that the fishing pier is closed from 1-7 pm while the life guards are on duty for swimming. Fished at the small pier to the right next to the boat launch and was constantly interrupted by extremely rude swimmers who didn't want to use the designated swim area. We caught a couple of baby crappie on a bobber and worm but that was about it. Wanted to come back after 7pm to try the pier but it was inundated with swimmers running around, jumping in the water and soaking the dock. Horrible experience and wouldn't go back unless it is early morning before swimmers are there or if I had a small boat to troll the lake in.

Crowds have been pretty bad this year at Angle, most seem to lack common sense and courtesy. A boat ramp is for BOATS! Clueless swimmers don't seem to understand that though. I finally just plowed into them (going very slow of course) and they finally got the message to move out of the way before they go hit with a boat, was the only option I had left. Frustrating, should be a good place this fall for trout/kokanee though and crowds thinner too.

After being there yesterday I totally understand why you would do that. The kids were literally swimming over our lines knowing we were fishing and splashing water at our bobbers and when we asked them to stop one of them replied "Why? It's a free country". If one of them had gotten hooked I wouldn't have cared nor tried to help.
